Using Forecasted Weather:

Look-Ahead ETTM is a patented method of adjusting irrigation according to forecasted and actual weather measurements. Term "ET" is a measure of evapotranspiration, the amount of water loss from evaporation and transpiration by plants.

Water2SaveSM remote Look-Ahead ETTM weather based irrigation adjustment and monitoring service uses patented state-of-the-art methodologies that have been in operation for over a decade. All remote forecasted weather adjustment methodologies are protected under US Patent Numbers 5,696,671 issued Dec. 9, 1997 and 5,870,302 issued Feb. 9, 1999.

The Data Operations Center located at our headquarter's office communicates with all Wireless Water Managers (WWM) which are installed at the customer property sites and is remotely operated via the AT&T wireless cellular network.

Each WWM, remotely operated, is a wireless communications and interrupt device that records and adjusts watering times. WWM is not an irrigation controller. WWM attaches to any type of existing irrigation controller and then monitors and learns watering schedules that are programmed by the landscaper.

WWM reduces the amount of water applied by the irrigation controllers and receives and transmits data to and from the Data Operations Center. A baseline schedule is programmed into the existing controller that includes such parameters as the type of spray heads, plant material, soil, sun, shade and cycles per day and week. A single WWM can be connected up to 1, 2, 3 or 4 existing dumb or smart controllers with a maximum of 64 irrigation valves. WWM is completely transparent to the landscaper. Landscapers and their support personnel do not need to learn how to use a new smart controller. The landscaper simply programs the existing controller which they already know how to use.

Monitoring and Verification:

As part of our water management service, periodic water usage tracking reports are sent to our customers comparing metered consumption data before service was activated versus consumption data after service was activated for like periods of time. Savings reports are derived from copies of actual water billing records for each property and can be accessed using the customer login web page.

An example tracking graph for an apartment complex in Southern California is shown below:

Irrigation data collected from each customer property is formatted to allow viewing using any Internet Web Browser. Authorized users can access customer specific irrigation data. Landscape personnel authorized by a customer can also access the customer specific web pages.

An example savings report with three different existing controllers at a property site can be seen by clicking on the link below.

SavingsReport

Users can view via an Internet Web Browser total daily runtime minutes programmed into the irrigation controller (for each station/valve). This represents a baseline program that is set by landscape personnel and monitored by the WWM.   Using current and forecasted weather, each WWM receives data and adjusts watering runtime minutes by interrupting the irrigation controller and watering time, reducing the amount of water applied to the landscape.

Our patented WaterLink System® and Water2SaveSM service has proven to save water and money for apartments, HOAs, condos, schools, hotels, resorts, cemeteries, shopping centers, business parks and municipalities.
